Hey everyone, welcome to this week's FBL.
This is Matt.
Today, I want to talk about fear.
Before we dive in, I wanted to let you know that I'm opening up a few spots in both Taking Back Control (TBC) and one-on-one coaching beginning next week.
If you've been part of our community for a while, or you're at a place where you feel aligned with addressing the fears that have been holding you back or limiting your life in some way, I'd love to help you with that.
One of the greatest things I've learned about fear is that it is conquerable.
It's not something to simply manage or cope with.
It's something you can conquer and transcend.
And once you do, the life waiting for you on the other side is something you can't fully imagine while you're still living in fear.
I've experienced that personally, and I've had the privilege of walking many people through that same process.
So if you're listening today and something inside you shifts—if you feel called to take that next step—simply fill out an application. We'll have a quick conversation and see if it's the right fit.
We'll include the link below.
The quote I want to talk about today comes from Henry Ford.
He said that one of the greatest discoveries a person can make is realizing they can do the very thing they once believed they couldn't.
In other words, the fear that says:
"I can't do this."
"I'm not strong enough."
"I'm not courageous enough."
Isn't actually telling you the truth.
There is an incredible sense of empowerment that comes when you conquer fear.
And I want to make an important distinction.
I'm not talking about managing fear.
I'm not talking about coping with it.
If your goal is simply to keep fear at bay, then, honestly, this message probably isn't for you.
I know many people teach that approach.
I know many believe that's all you can do.
But I don't.
As long as humanity has existed, fear has existed.
And throughout history, people have overcome it.
Fear is not a disease.
It's not something you have.
It's something you feed.
It's an energetic field that you either reinforce or transcend.
Overcoming fear isn't simply about knowing what to do.
It requires courage.
It requires support.
Accountability.
The right frameworks.
The right understanding.
If you've been feeding a fear that has kept you stuck, it's because a number of different pieces have been reinforcing it.
Your beliefs.
Your perspective.
Your behaviors.
The way you relate to emotion.
The way you relate to thought.
All of those things work together to strengthen fear.
So conquering fear means dismantling all of those patterns.
It's not enough to simply decide, "I'm going to conquer this."
You can't change the outcome without changing the state of consciousness that created it.
Think about someone who wakes up one day and says,
"I'm going to lose thirty pounds."
If nothing about the way they think, feel, or live changes, they'll naturally be pulled back toward the same habits that created the problem in the first place.
The same is true with fear.
The same is true with any unhealthy habit.
Whether it's smoking, drinking, overeating, or anything else.
Simply deciding to stop doesn't address the underlying patterns that created the habit.
Those patterns have to change.
One of the most rewarding parts of helping people overcome fear is watching what happens when they finally do something they once believed was impossible.
When someone says,
"I can't get on that elevator."
"I can't touch that doorknob."
"I can't accept this uncertainty."
And then they actually do it...
Something changes.
You can see it.
They begin to glow.
There's a different energy about them.
A different presence.
Because they've stepped into something greater than fear.
So the message I want to leave you with today is simple.
If you're struggling with fear...
If you feel confined by it...
If you feel like it's controlling your life...
Know that it's not something you simply have to manage.
You have it within you to conquer it.
It is absolutely possible.
And when you're ready, it's the work of changing all of those underlying patterns that allows you not only to overcome fear, but to maintain your freedom from it.
The life waiting for you on the other side is something you simply can't fully imagine while you're living inside fear.
But it's there.
Waiting for you.
I just wanted to share that message today.
I really love that quote from Henry Ford.
And again, we're opening up coaching spots beginning next week.
If it feels aligned, I'd love to speak with you.
Complete an application, and let's connect.
Wishing you all a great day.
