Why the Mind Will Never Solve Fear

At the core of everything we want is a simple desire: to feel better.

The mind often convinces us that what we really want is something else — to get rid of the thoughts, solve the problem, or finally find the answer. But the only reason you want those things is because you believe they’ll change how you feel.

Here’s the trap: when you’re in a state of fear, your mind simply reflects that fear. It creates thoughts that justify the emotion and keep it going. So when you try to use the mind to solve fear, you’re using the very thing that is perpetuating the state in the first place.

As Albert Einstein famously said, you cannot solve a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it.

You cannot solve fear from the lens of fear.
