Matt's Message of the Week

Just Because You Have a Thought Doesn’t Mean It’s Yours.

One of the biggest reasons people stay stuck is because they identify with every thought they have.

But what if the thought isn't actually yours?

Think about it:

If you were consciously creating intrusive thoughts, you could simply stop creating them.

But you can't.

That's because most thoughts arise automatically based on the state you're in.

When you're in fear, the mind produces fearful thoughts.

When you're in guilt, it produces guilty thoughts.

Just like a radio station plays music that matches the station, your mind produces thoughts that match your state.

The problem begins when you assume every thought is personal, meaningful, or something you need to solve.

That's when the loop begins.

Recovery starts when you recognize that you are not the thought.

You are the awareness that notices it.
